Budget, Calendar passed at May 10 meeting
At the last PTO meeting of the school year attendees passed the 2012-2013 budget, PTO calendar and discussed adding a parent library and more enrichment opportunities. We thank the fantastic members of Westfield PTO who consistenly step up as volunteers, donors, and leaders. This year has been one of huge accomplishments- achieving 501c3 status, adding new events like Movie Night and Literacy Night, and continuing to surpass fundraising goals and invest wisely in academic and developmental success of our students. Have a wonderful summer and see you next year!
All-School Skate Night May 24
Celebrate the last day of school with an evening at Super Skate. This PTO family event is not a fundraiser, but it does cost $6.25 for each person who attends (includes skate rental). Join the fun from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on the last day of school!
Westfield Running Club Helps Break Growl-Prowl Record!
On April 14, 32 Westfield students ran a mile in the annual district-wide Growl Prowl race. That's more than the number of kids participating in the whole Youth Mile last year and helped make this Growl Prowl the most well attended in district history. Thank you to organizers Denise and Brad Stapley, Lisa Hawk and the MANY parents who ran alongside the kids during trainings and Growl Prowl! See pictures of Westfield students at Growl Prowl on our Facebook page.

Super Fun Sock Hop
It was a warm March night when more than 600 Westfield staff, students, their parents and siblings dressed up in poodle skirts and white t-shirts to dance, eat treats, and play! Thank you Sam Shock for chairing Sock Hop and for all the parents who volunteered to make it a fantastic event! See pictures from Sock Hop on our Facebook Page.
Read-a-Thon a Success!
Thanks to our amazing Westfield readers and their supportive families, we surpassed our goal for this annual fundraiser. Read-a-Thon dollars will replenish our library with new books! A portion of Read-a-Thon dollars also support field trips. Congrats to Robin Bettmann for chairing this successful event. Special thanks to Bohr, Dahm, Greif and Associates for donating gift certificates to each classroom.
